I found my voice with the help of three Political Science professors: David Hinton, Claire Curtis, and Tom Chorlton.
Through these professors I really learned what it meant to think critically, question everything, and learn to not be bashful about what I thought was right. Professor Tom Chorlton became a mentor and friend long after my classes with him and after I graduated from the College. He taught me that the only time anyone ever got anything done was when they showed up and got a seat at the table, learned the history of those that came before them, and treated everyone (even your waiter) as the best friend you never met.
Your professors can truly be your mentors, advocates, and friends throughout the rest of your life. Get to know them. They desperately want to help you.
