Find Your Voice

The volunteers of the Freedom Schools in Bruce Watson’s Freedom Summer:  The Savage Season in 1964 That Made Mississippi Burn and Made America a Democracy found their voice by volunteering to live in Mississippi to help educate African American students and registering disenfranchised African Americans to vote. They found their voice and strength through the experience.

Students and alumni of the College of Charleston have found their voice through the many opportunities and experiences that CofC offers them.  By being a CofC student they were able to explore, grow, change and learn how to build a life.

Check out their stories and we hope they will inspire you to #findyourvoice at CofC.
