Nathalie Hofman

I found my voice at CofC when I looked around me and realized I didn't understand the world very well. I chose to major in history to help me bridge that gap and specialized in African American history. That course of study opened my eyes and made me see that there are so many viewpoints and every bit of history should be examined to understand as many viewpoints as possible.

Without doing that, you may not have the full story, and you certainly won't have an understanding of the full human experience. That realization and the lessons that followed have made me a better lawyer, a better friend, and a better mother. And I owe a lot of that learning to Dr. Powers, who encouraged me, helped me, and welcomed me at every turn.
